As a famous university in China, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics locates in Dalian, which is a coastal tourist city. The University is founded in 1952 and a multi-disciplinary university, mainly focusing on Economics and Management together with Law and Arts. The university has full-time students 12,500 and consists of 30 schools and institutions. Nowadays, there are 31 undergraduate programs, 54 master’s programs, and 34 doctoral programs. Among the programs offered there are industrial economics and accounting as national leading disciplines, statistics, banking, public finance, quantitative economics, and business management as provincial leading disciplines.The University has attached much importance to international cooperation and exchange. Up to now, the University has established cooperative relations with 59 universities from the USA, Japan, UK, Germany, Australia, summing up 14 countries. Every year, hundreds of foreign students from more than 30 countries have been studying in the University.

School of International Business (SIB) was set up in August, 2002. It is a designated institution in Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) to be in charge of the work of designing, organizing, and management of all the internationalized majors as well as international cooperative programs of the University.
In the past years, The School of International Business had a good reputation because of scientific management pattern and high-quality teaching. Accompanying the development of the School of International Business, the school boasts an excellent team of faculty staffs, who have rich teaching experience and serious attitudes toward teaching. Recently, School of international business has established 13 cooperative programs at under- and postgraduate levels with 9 universities in 6 countries. They are University of Ulster and University of Surrey in UK, the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Germany, the University of Western Ontario in Canada, University of Adelaide and CurtinUniversity in Australia, Athlone Institute of Technology in Ireland, FHS kufstein tirol Austria.
