Center
for China Study Tours (CCST) at the School of International Business
(SIB) since 2003 has run regular Study Tours to China every year.
These annual Study Tours are designed to let you experience firsthand
important cultural, historical, societal, economic and educational
aspects of China. The CCTS Study Tours provide in-depth introduction
to the world’s oldest civilization and help gain insight into
this fascinating country’s future.
China
is the world’s sixth largest economy and the second largest
economy in Asia. China’s huge market potential, its commitment
to ongoing economic reform and its entry into the World Trade Organization
(WTO) underline the importance of understanding developments in
China. With 5000 years of unique history and tradition, China has
rich heritages in arts, religions and philosophies that attract
lots of attention worldwide. China, with the largest student population
in the globe, has witnessed visible progress in improving educational
levels on the whole in the mist of the execution of its economic
reforms and open policies.
As
an epitome of successful achievements over 20 years of Chinese economic
development,
the city of Dalian,
now serves as a window to the outside
world. Perched on the southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula, the
city of Dalian which is an attractive coastal resort in northeast
China is making vigorous efforts to woo both domestic and international
tourists.
Based
on its practical relevance for participants, the goal of the Study
Tour is to initiate, organize and facilitate regular Study Tours
to China on selected topics within our fields of expertise. It also
aims to promote the exchange of ideas between the members of the
group and the Chinese experts, especially at
Dongbei
University of Finance & Economics (
DUFE ).
The Study Tour is intended to offer a range of activities that are
targeted for exposing participating students and university faculty
to elements of China’s cultural heritage. In the meanwhile,
the office of CCTS Study Tours within the School of International
business seeks to gain international recognition for DUFE. |
